About Me

BC born, I’ve called Vancouver Island home since 1983, living on the gorgeous west coast of the Island for 17 years before migrating to the east coast. I’m fortunate to live in the Cowichan Valley with my partner, Diane, and our cat, Winnie.

My happiest place is on the beaches of Pacific Rim National Park…feet in the sand, sun, wind or rain…there’s a timelessness in being by the ocean. It’s a place where I’ve brought both my joys and my sorrows, and it always offers me a sense of calm and perspective. I also love making mosaics…there is great satisfaction to be found in breaking plates and creating art with the pieces!

For nearly thirty years, I’ve worked closely with people navigating life’s emotional highs and lows. Whether in moments of celebration or times of challenge, I bring a calm and caring energy to my work, ensuring that others feel heard, safe, and valued, and handle difficult situations with diplomacy and compassion.

So – what can you expect from me? A well-organized but relaxed approach, clear communication, reliability, warmth…and a good sense of humour (when appropriate!). I’m highly collaborative, and able to synthesize diverse ideas and needs to create ceremonies that speak authentically to those involved.

A little about my role as a minister—notice the small ‘m’! While I have my own spiritual beliefs, I don’t consider myself a ‘religious’ person. My focus is to listen carefully to what matters most to you, and to ensure that your ceremony truly expresses what is most meaningful to you. Love is love, and diversity is celebrated!
